The Company:
Our client is a successful New Zealand business which operates a direct to store sales model. The company is a recognised market leader operating in one of the largest categories within the Grocery channel. This challenging role requires excellent sales ability and a skilled negotiator with experience of selling perishable products. Essential to the role’s success is the ability to make decisions under urgency and achieve outcomes in a dynamic environment. We wish to meet a talented Territory Sales Manager who has the ability to think on their feet whilst remaining focused on customer needs. The Role:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager- Retail, responsibilities will include delivering sales volume, sales revenue margin and promotional market share for the region. You will work closely with all touch points of supply chain to ensure stock is managed efficiently. You will ensure flawless execution of store specific strategies and marketing plans and will ensure high standards of customer service. In addition you will drive sales opportunities, build trade relationships, manage trade spend and negotiate instore promotional activity. A key component is to recruit, train and mentor a team of Merchandisers to attain mutually agreed KPIs.

The Brief:
We are seeking an in-depth background of sales experience within a key account environment in the Grocery Channel. Other essential attributes are as follows:

• A high degree of commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate successful outcomes for the business.
• Advanced selling and leadership skills, preferably with recent experience of managing a team.
• Well-developed computer skills and the ability to complete analysis of relevant data and use appropriately.
• Experienced problem solver and decision maker together with excellent planning and organisational skills.
